Dear faithful in Christ,

Denise and I are so grateful for all the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. It’s a joy to follow the Lord and see his Hand at work in the hearts of people around the world.

In this update, we are excited to share Scott Hilton will be serving part time with Grace International in helping with administration and coordinating mission teams. Bro Scott has been a faithful friend who has served with Grace International on many mission trips and on our advisory board for many years. Here is Bro Scott’s letter of introduction.

“In 1994, I went on my first mission trip to Mexico with the Methodist Church and saw firsthand the fruit of evangelism, lives transformed by Jesus Christ, and disciples being made. Then later, traveling to Jamaica, the Philippines, Peru, and El Salvador, I saw areas that were unchurched receive Jesus. I saw churches, orphanages, and schools built and the impact of Christ transforming communities. This had a profound impact on my life.

About four years ago, God unexpectedly led me to the pastorate at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and it has been a marvelous experience. I have served bi-vocationally while continuing my position with Howard Industries. However, I knew that God was bringing my season at Howard’s to an end, so I officially left Howard Industries at the end of June after almost thirty years.

God is leading me to fulfill His purpose and vision for my life and ministry by giving me an opportunity to serve as Mission Coordinator at Grace International World Outreach, an interdenominational, non-profit missionary organization funded through donor support.

I am writing this letter to honor God’s instruction in Habakuk 2:2, “…Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” God’s vision for my life is clear: proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equip believers to carry the mission forward so that every person may encounter the hope and transforming power of Christ, glorifying God.

I look forward to fulfilling my role as pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, while also serving with Grace International to coordinate building projects and organize mission teams to serve around the world.

Please pray for me and my family as we walk into this new season of ministry focus.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Scott Hilton”
