May 2019 - Philippines Trip Update

Dear Faithful in Christ,
Denise and I have just returned from the Philippines and had a very fruitful trip. Joining us on this trip were Sherri Dykes, and Mike and Valerie Stanton. We had the opportunity to assist with a mountain tribal outreach, dedicate the new Shepherds Home facility, conduct a basketball tournament to assist a new outreach in Badiangan, and visit two new churches established in Uyang and Madina. Our team also had the opportunity to visit the construction site in Tapaz for the new Tribal Center being built which will be a training facility.

Nayawan Tribal Outreach
Nayawan is the 4th tribal outreach established so far. It was a joy to join the Filipino mission team and visit this mountain village. We had opportunity to share the Gospel, fellowship, and have Bible lessons with them through crafts. Everyone enjoyed the craft lessons, even the adults! As the first foreigners to be allowed in their community, we were warmly welcomed and established a genuine friendship with all of them. They shared their cultural dance, food, and skills in weaving. We were blessed and honored to be there with them. A multifunctional native facility was built to give them a place to hold their tribal meetings, have conferences and most importantly, a place to have Bible study and worship. Many have embraced Jesus and are eager to learn and share with others their new life in Christ. The journey getting there was amazing and beautiful! In October, the mission team will travel to another village to establish the 5th church in reaching the unreached tribal villages. The cost to send the team for one month and build the native facility is $2800. Would you consider a donation to help us reach them? Your prayer and support is making a difference and many are coming to know Christ!

First Little Big Shot Basketball Tournament
The first ever basketball tournament for children ages 5 to 10 was held in Badiangan, a new outreach established last year. The tournament held in the community center was packed out as parents and friends came to see the children play in a tournament. It was a day to remember and so much fun for the children! At halftime during the event, the Gospel was shared and approximately 180 responded to receive Christ. This event gave us opportunity to establish a relationship with the community. It was well received and everyone ask to have the event again next year. Twelve teams were represented. Each player received a Grace Sports T-shirt and a love gift to help purchase their school supplies.
Your faithful love, prayer and support enables events like this to take place in outreaches throughout the Philippines. Many are coming to know Christ, being discipled and new outreaches are being established. With all our hearts, thank you for every donation! Working together, we are making a difference in the lives of many!

Leadership Meeting Held in Kalibo, Aklan
It gives us great joy to meet with the staff and leadership team of Grace International Churches of the Philippines (GICP). We take this opportunity to pray, exhort, encourage and share vision. The Regional Coordinators come from different islands and areas to spend one day with us and share a meal. We are all blessed and encouraged. Working together as a team, the heart of God will be accomplished in every place He sends us.
Thank you again for your love and support of the outreaches of Grace International. We are committed to advancing the Kingdom of God in all the earth. We are grateful to the Lord for all He is doing and it gives us great joy to see lives transformed. Your support is needed and appreciated. Working together, we will continue to reach the unreached, give hope to the hopeless and enable others to fulfill their God given destinies.
Would you share our vision with others? Opportunities abound to reach the unchurched and we are praying for the resources to reach them. We are a team working together for a common Cause: the Cause of Christ!
