Dear Friends,
How far did you walk for a glass of water today? For most of us, it's just a few steps to the kitchen sink. We turn the handle and don't think twice about it.
Not so for our Panay Bukidnon brothers and sisters in Rizal Sur, Tapaz, in the Philippines. Their old water source has dried up in the extreme heat, and every day the water sits a little deeper in the ground. Without it, families can't drink, cook, or bathe. Their children and elders have been walking over two hours, carrying water back from a source that was disappearing right in front of them.
But God hears. Isaiah 41:17-18 says, "When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water."
I want you to see how He is answering that prayer through your giving.
The workers dug down until they hit bedrock, then began forming the water cistern. They've run a water line, along with electrical lines to power the pump from a generator. They tested the spring source, and water is now flowing through the pipeline into the reservoir! The main tank is complete, and the finishing and curing work is underway under a temporary cover. The crew is working together to finish it up. Before they close and seal the tank, they will clean the inside thoroughly so the water is clean and safe to drink.
It's a big job, and they are making a lot of progress.
The community asked us to pass along their thanks. They are truly grateful for your support of their Indigenous community. This well will provide clean water for many families who have struggled for a long time, and especially for the children.
Would you keep praying with us?
Thank you for being a part of this. You are an answer to prayer!Dear faithful,
Greetings from our family to yours! Denise and I are very excited to share this update regarding the construction on the new Bukidnon Tribal Center being built in Rizal Sur Philippines. This remote area has access to several barrios and already many people have been born again. The Culture Learning Center as it will be called, is under construction now.
This remote barrio in the past was only reached by hiking, but now, the government, after many months of work, have created a rough roadway.
This new road is an answer to prayer and took months to build. Now that a road has been prepared, we are so excited to share lines for electricity are being run to Rizal Sur! This is amazing!!
Electrical lines are being run and the support poles are bamboo! This is an answer to Prayer!
The boys facility is almost complete.
The flooring has been laid. There’s just a few finishing touches to complete this facility.
While the dozer was there, he cleared the land where the girls dorm and conference center will be built. He also cleared an area for the children to have a playground! What a blessing!!
Your love, prayer and support is enabling ministers to reach remote areas untouched by the Gospel! Reaching the Unreached is our mandate! With all our hearts, thank you for your support making this possible!
